Learn About Our Leagues 

Our enthusiastic golf leagues including the Men’s Tournament Group, Ladies 18-Hole League, Ladies 9-Hole League, and our distinguished Tuesday Junior Golf Program are a few of our most esteemed assets here at Ramsey Golf & Country Club. Participation in league play is open and available for golf members of Ramsey Golf & Country Club only.  

Outside of our active golf leagues, all golf members enjoy exclusive invitations to annual events and tournaments, namely our Member-Guest and Member-Member weekends along with Twilight Couples tournaments, the Husband & Wife Tournament, and Parent-Junior Tournament and season-long Championship Day qualifying rounds.

 
  • Men’s Tournament Group

    • 2016 MTG Chairman: Frank Maher

      The Men’s Tournament Group is an energetic league that encompasses more than 200 male golfers of all ages and skill levels who engage in friendly weekend competition. Members of the MTG, as it is commonly referred to, enjoy the benefits of reserved tee-times between 7:00am and 11:00am each Saturday and Sunday, weekly tournament formats and prizes and a myriad of social and dinner gatherings. Highlighted tournaments for the season, which begins in April and runs through the end of October, include the Azalea Open and the Partner's Tournament in May, and the Ramsey Cup in September, to name a few. 

  • 18-Hole Ladies League

    • 2016 18-Hole Ladies Chairwomen: Joan MacEachern & Judy McDonnell

      The more competitive of our two women's leagues, the 18-Hole league is comprised of more than 40 women who tee off each Thursday morning during reserved tee-times between 7:15am and 10:00am. The 18-Hole ladies are active in and enjoy many social events and competitive tournaments throughout the year, including the Daffodil Open in May, Annual Mixer in August and Halloween Tournament in October. Joining this league also affords the privilege of being a reciprocal guest on Interclub play days, as well as becoming active in the acclaimed WMGA.

  • 9-Hole Ladies League

    • 2016 9-Hole Ladies Chairwomen: Stephanie Chamberlin & Terri Corriston

      For our beginner ladies, our 9-Hole league afford the opportunity to play a casual round of golf on Tuesday mornings from 7:15am to 10:00am and during the twilight hours of 4:00pm and 6:00pm. Friendly tournaments and events throughout the golf season include numerous shotgun social events for the over 65 women who participated in 2015. Similarly to the 18-Hole league, joining the 9-Hole league also affords the privilege of being a reciprocal guest on Interclub play days, as well as becoming active in the acclaimed WMGA.

  • Junior Golf Program

    • Ramsey Golf & Country Club is truly a family club. By far the most unique and rewarding aspect of golf membership at Ramsey Golf and Country Club is our popular junior golf league, which is one of the largest in the tri-state area. In 2015, over 120 young boys and girls ages 9 through 18 participated in our league which is held every Tuesday for 8-10 weeks throughout the summer months of July and August. During these weeks, our juniors learn and practice the most important aspects of the game including course etiquette and fundamental skills. In 2014 and 2015, a handful of our junior golfers also had the privilege of participating in the increasingly popular PGA Junior League Golf program and traveled to various competitions throughout the Northeast.
