Paddle Tennis

Platform tennis, or "Paddle" as it is commonly referred to, is an American racquet sport primarily played outdoors in cold weather which provides a unique opportunity to enjoy fresh air, competition, and social engagement.

A blend of tennis and racquetball, paddle is played on an aluminum platform, smaller than a standard tennis court, which is caged to allow play off the walls. The court floor is gritted for traction and heated for dryness. Paddle is primarily a doubles game and matches are played day and night.

Our paddle tennis program here at Ramsey Golf & Country Club offers an athletic alternative to traditional tennis, and is in season from October through to April. At Ramsey Golf & Country Club, our paddle members are actively involved in social and competitive aspects of play, from competing in Interclub leagues to hosting wine and cheese socials and even just your friendly afternoon matches.

Our paddle facility boasts two heated courts, and a dedicated ‘hut’ with views of the matches, where our members and their guests alike host frequent social gatherings throughout the fall and winter.
